The Center for Relationships | Fully Licensed Therapists + Post-Graduate Interns

The Center for Relationships is a relational cultural counseling and education center in Austin TX providing cutting-edge science based support, education, and outreach to individuals, partners, couples, families and organizations. We help people heal their relationships with self, others, and their higher power.

We are seeking post-graduate interns (LPC-intern and LMFT-associate) as well as fully licensed therapists starting immediately for our growing client base and new programs. Fully Licensed Therapists/Counselors

The successful candidate will provide private counseling as well as have the chance to supervise practicum students, facilitate workshops and direct programs, and offer community outreach and education. The clinical aspect of this role will have a primary focus on relationship work, but there is potential to work with individuals, families, partners, and groups. We are seeking candidates who would like a turn-key experience with their clinical practice, a sense of belonging, and are committed and willing to stay for several years.

Post-Graduate Interns

The successful candidate will have passion, energy, and ambition in developing a strong reputation and presence not only in the Austin community but all over Texas as a highly effective relationship counselor. Focus will be on relationship work with opportunities for individual, group, and relationship education as adjunct experiences. Our goal is not only to help you get your hours for licensure but to develop highly trained and effective relationship counselors with a strong presence and professional reputation.

The ideal candidate will be independent, ambitious, and creative who is interested in a long term position and willing to learn and grow in depth, skills, and knowledge. High preference for candidates with personal and professional experience with diversity and previous experience in relationship and and group therapy,. The center offers a collaborative workplace guided by the philosophical foundations informed by IFS, Hakomi, Appreciative Inquiry, and Relational Cultural theory with a commitment to building a safe supportive learning space. What this means is that we take pride in building a relational community that is strengths and skills focused, egalitarian, inclusive, and offers many opportunities for growth and promotion.

We strongly encourage applications from therapists with specializations in any of the following modalities or populations:

  • Couple and Family work with professional training in:
    • Gottman Method couples therapy
    • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy
    • PACT
    • IMAGO
    • Internal Family Systems
  • Trauma informed therapy models
  • Strengths Based Counseling
  • Holistic health perspectives such as yoga, mindfulness, and other alternative healing techniques
  • Children/Teens/Young Adults

Requirements:
  • Current State of Texas license appropriate to position:
    • Fully licensed as LPC, LPC-S, LCSW, LMFT or LMFT-S, Ph.D. or Psy.D.
    • Licensure as a post-graduate intern or provisionally licensed psychologist in a mental health profession.
  • Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends. Two evenings and one weekend day are required until your caseload is full.
  • Paneled with insurance, especially BCBS, Tricare, and United, is a plus.
