    Presentation summary

As technology continues to advance into every professional realm of public life, it's no surprise that mental health care continues to be shaped and changed by it's impact. This presentation will examine the need for increased regulation for client safety and therapist efficacy. In it, I will discuss the primary ethical concerns when establishing and running a telehealth practice, common myths about HIPAA-compliance and best practices for mental health in the digital age. In addition, I will provide a practical approach to telehalth using G-Suite.

Technology CEU Offered in October: More details to come.

This 15 hour technology assisted services' CEU familiarizes mental health professionals the best standards of practice in telehealth. Participants will discuss and review ethical implications when using technology in mental health care, gain practical tools for providing informed consent, learn tools for managing an online practice from email to fee collection and discover how to integrate telehealth into a brick and mortar practice. All participants will attend the pre and post-conference webinar, a nine hour in-person presentation and complete outside reading to receive the 15 hours. CEU's are provided for LMFTs, LPCs and social workers. The training fulfills the 15 hour requirement by the Texas State Board of Examiners for LMFTs.

This presentation is designed to be useful for all levels of training and experience.
