    PRESENTATION SUMMARY

Sexual wellbeing occurs at the intersection of Safety and Pleasure. Often talk about sexuality will focus on only one of these ingredients, leaving an incomplete picture of wellness. Education focuses on “sexual health” and the possible physical or emotional consequences of sex with the message of “Safe sex”. While on the other hand media and advertisements draw attention by promoting “Better sex” which usually follows a format of “try these easy steps” to pleasure. This presentation and discussion will speak to the importance of both safe and pleasurable sex.

    Biography

Nicole is the owner of Achieve Connection Counseling in Cedar Park, TX. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Nicole works alongside individuals and couples to strengthen relationships and help them create positive changes in their lives. Nicole believes that clients often get stuck in unhelpful patterns when life doesn't turn out the way they expected, which leaves them feeling alone, disappointed, and misunderstood. With an increased awareness of their default patterns and a healthy dose of self-compassion, clients can move through feeling stuck and build new ways of connecting with themselves and others.

Nicole enjoys learning from and collaborating with fellow mental health professionals, and leads a networking group for therapists in the North Austin area, which meets monthly in Cedar Park. Find out more about Nicole on her website, www.achieveconnectioncounseling.com
