Oliver is dedicated to assisting diverse individuals and families in our community, and he is experienced in crisis counseling in-person and via telehealth. He has trained in person-centered, existential, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral therapies, and he has experience working with adults, teenagers and older children.
Oliver's approach to counseling starts with the belief that all people are inherently relational, and that our families of origin teach us many things about what it means to be human. Growing up gay in an ultra-religious community, Oliver is passionate about Queer issues and a proud member of Equality Texas. He believes that empathy and acceptance start in the home, and that healing can begin wherever you are. During counseling sessions, Oliver places the highest importance on a trustful, collaborative relationship, committed to making the most out of the therapeutic hour. Oliver affirms the importance of each person's unique journey towards meaning and fulfillment in their life.
