    "EMDR: How the brain heals from adversity"

    Presenter: Wendy Byrd, LPC-S, LMFT-S

    EMDR is becoming more and more popular amongst the general public. Come learn what makes EMDR such a powerful and sought after therapy.  

    Objectives:

     1. Understand the theoretical foundation of EMDR- The Adaptive Information Processing Model

    2. Learn why EMDR is not just a Trauma Therapy

    3. Learn how EMDR and Couples counseling combined can create lasting change in couples and families and future generations.

    Wendy Byrd, LPC-S, LMFT-S is a psychotherapist in private practice in Austin Texas.  Wendy Byrd is an EMDRIA approved consultant; EMDR Facilitator for the IPCD EMDR Trainings.  Wendy was a presenter at the 2016 IMAGO Conference on EMDR and Couples. 

    Furthermore, Wendy has received training in EMDR as a Child Specialist, EMDR with Preverbal Memory, EMDR and Anxiety and Performance Enhancement amongst other advanced training in EMDR.  Wendy is an IMAGO certified Couples Therapist, a Safe Conversations Facilitator, is in on-going training in Cross-Generational Workshops as well as Voice Dialogue, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), and hypnosis. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families affected by trauma and adversity for more than 15 years.
